Chinoike Ointment

It is a skin treatment cream passed down from before the war using hot mud from Chinoike Jigoku (Blood pond hell). Even now, we still have the pictures of soldiers coming to get the mud instead of typical injury ointments. The history of Chinoike ointment goes back very far and the oldest record available dates back to the Meiji period. At the time, mud was put into seashells and were sold. It is available for sale only within Chinoike Jigoku facility and is the most popular product with many repeaters.

  • Chinoike Jigoku pulp 8g, sulfur 4g, pine tar 4g, yellow Vaseline 6g (no steroid used)
  • Usage
  • Use twice or three times daily, take an appropriate amount depending on the size of the applied area and gently apply using the finger tip. The ointment is reddish brown so please be careful how it colors the skin. When the ointment hardens, please warm it in hot water.
